Thanks to the web development talents of our good friend
Laura, our website has a fresh new look. She redesigned
all the pages and gave us improved navigation.

12-29-2001 We've redesigned our
photo
album and dug up a ton of old pictures to add to it. Check
it out!
7-01-2001 We're pretty excited about the
completion of our server upgrade. The server is now faster,
more reliable and doesn't need rebooted as often. The only
casualty was our Bubble Cam was down for 30 hours while we
resolved an upgrade related hardware issue. Since the server is
now easier to maintain, Mike is a lot less grumpy these days.
7-16-2001 A thunderstorm took down our bubble
cam. It blew the camera out. We were down for about 6 hours
till we got a spare camera online. The sun room was a mess
because the spare cam was our camcorder sitting on a tripod
pointing through the window. This went on for a week until the
new camera arrived in the mail.
4-19-2001 Our server is back on the air after
nearly a month of downtime. In late March, NorthPoint
Communications declared bankruptcy and pulled the plug on
over 81,000 subscribers with little or no warning. The line
went dead and it took us nearly a month to get another Internet
carrier. Our new carrier doesn't allow static IP addresses so
we're having to pull some fancy stunts to keep our domain
associated with our changing IP address. Once again, the great
folks at Aloha Presence
(our DNS provider) helped us put together a clever solution to
get us back on the air.
1-17-2001 The Patio Bubble Cam receives an
award! We've been awarded the AllCam Editor's Choice Award
for the "best of the best in live webcam sites."
1-11-2001 Andie Takes a Cubism Approach to the
Bathroom and paints it like nobody's business. Check out the
latest page in our photo album.
12-3-2000 The
Patio Bubble Cam
goes live. We've installed another live web cam pointing at our
back patio. You can activate a commercial bubble machine and
blow bubbles on the back patio.
10-14-2000 A new
Journal section
"She Said - He Said" has been added to the site. Here is where
we'll post updates on life in Florida.
08-22-2000 Search capabilities were added to the
Cookbook.
08-20-2000 Andie's
cookbook is now
online. Not only can you view many of Andie's favorite recipes,
but you can also add your own! Visit the cookbook page and
follow the directions to contribute your own recipe to the
collection.
08-19-2000 Many people have been asking
us "how does the A.C. Cam work?" For an answer to this
question, click the link at the bottom of the
A.C. Cam page.

08-16-2000 The
Guest Book is now
operational. You can submit your comments which will be visible
on the guest book page.
08-12-2000 We've added the ability to control the
lights in the office from the Web! Many people were complaining
about seeing a black image when they would check the A.C. cam
after hours. The black image was due to the lights being out in
the office at night. Now you can turn on a spotlight from the
web to see A.C.'s perch after hours. Check out the

08-02-2000 We have our own domain! Now you can reach
our server by typing in

07-07-2000 We have our own server! We got tired of
messing around with other servers so we built our own web
server. It sits in the office right next to Mike. We're
working on our own domain but for now you can find us by our IP
Address.
07-07-2000 The entire web site has been
redesigned with a new look.
07-04/2000 Added the
A.C. Cam. You
can actually check up on our cat from your computer. The AC Cam
is live 24 hours a day and updates its picture every 30 seconds.
